保护城市历史文化遗产的意义何在？
李秉毅介绍说，城市历史文化遗产保护的意义主要有4个方面：历史研究_历史文化价值、科学研究_科学价值、发展旅游_经济价值及可持续发展。我们首先从历史研究着眼，来看待城市文化价值。
城市文化遗产是城市历史发展的见证，是城市历史研究的重要依据。研究城市、人类发展历史，借古明今，有利于促进城市发展。
在历史科学研究进程中人们发现，历史古城、建筑、构筑物（如中国的赵州桥、都江堰，埃及的金字塔）等有很深奥的科学道理，有的甚至是现在人们还不清楚的科学理论，保护历史文化遗产，尤其是保护凝聚了3000多年历史文化的中国历史文化遗产，对科学研究有重要的意义。
李秉毅说，正是这些人类前进中创造的城市文化遗产，为我们的城市发展提供了良好的条件_发展城市旅游业，用经济价值去直观地表现城市历史文化的独特魅力，有利于更好地发展城市。中国5000多年的历史文化遗产丰富而迷人，它吸引着无数的中国人，更让外国人向往，这些都是发展城市旅游业的重要资源，也是人们游憩、观光、获得美的享受的重要场所。小小的周庄（小镇），年旅游收入达2亿元，增长率也是惊人的。

就拿我来说吧，一直以来都比较看重别人对我的评价。当别人夸奖自己时，心里就美滋滋的，感觉是一种很大的享受。而面对批评和建议时，总觉得是和自己过不去，即便嘴上不说，心里也是气鼓鼓的。有了这样的心态，我在学习和生活上觉得马马虎虎，说得过去就行。记得有一次老师在群里发了一组优秀同学的课堂笔记，爸爸让我好好学习一下。我心里不服气，就说我的课堂笔记做的也很好，之所以没有被选上，是因为老师没有看到，把老爸气个半死。还有每次考试，我总是给自己找理由，不是说这次老师出的题目太难，就是某某题目不小心看错了，或者直截了当说不会做，没办法。当爸爸给我指出不足时，我总会说自己已经尽力了，还有很多人不如我呢。学习中碰到一点困难，就畏缩不前。比如做数学题，我一看到比较繁琐复杂的题目就不想读下去，更不要说独立思考，攻克难关了。这些坏的毛病日积月累占据了我的“精神家园”，停滞了我前进的步伐。
而真正让我改变的，正是上面的那段话。颜回可以不计较常人无法忍受的恶劣环境，他从不报怨，也不在意别人的看法，而是一心只做好自我，孜孜不倦地追求理想，追求内在的富足，这是多么高的人生境界啊。
从那以后，我开始给自己定下目标：学习上要虚心听取别人的批评和建议，多问问自己听懂了没有，还有哪些地方没有想明白。碰到难题不是绕过去，而是用啃硬骨头的精神知难而上，不达目的誓不罢休。记得有次语文课上老师讲到菊花和莲花的区别，提到“出世”和“入世”的概念，为了真正理解，我回家查阅了很多资料，还和老爸在一起相互讨论，最后还把自己的见解发给老师指正。在学数学的“动点”问题时，我几次都没弄明白，但一想到颜回的坚守，我终于鼓足勇气走进老师的办公室，不厌其烦几次向老师请教，直到最后搞懂为止。在生活中不攀比，不浮躁，知足常乐，以简朴为荣。每次我和家人到外面就餐，我都选择那些经济实惠的小店，点的东西也是刚好够吃就行，如果没有吃完，我也叫服务员打包带回家，并没有感到有什么难为情。我觉得这样挺好，因为在我眼里吃并不是最重要的，只要一家人其乐融融，开心就好。
