花了两周多的时间终于读完了我人生中第一本英文原著，《Daughter of deceit》。在此记下心中所感。

全书主要讲述了女主在丧母后坎坷的人生经历，剧情倒没有多么的让人欲罢不能，但还是能够吸引着笔者读下去。刚开始读的时候可能因为第一次接触原汁原味的英文原著，不习惯密密麻麻的英文单词排列和英文表达习惯，所以读的速度比较慢，一天大概也就能读百分之五左右（我是用kindle读的）。而且有很多的单词不认识，毕竟是英语母语人士写的英文原著。看这本书之前笔者已经基本背熟了六级词汇，但还是有巨多单词不认识呐，由此可看出就算过了六级词汇量还是少得可怜，笔者参考了奶爸给出的英语母语人士不同年龄段的词汇量表，英语母语国家的小学生词汇量都已上万，远远高于六级要求词汇量，所以四六级真的真的真的很弱……路漫漫其修远兮。

继续来说这本书，笔者刚开始读的时候总是控制不住地想多查点生词，所以导致阅读速度也很慢，但是越往后读，发现有些查过的单词会反复出现，所以不知不觉地就记住了。并且逐渐地被剧情所吸引，虽然不认识单词但是根据上下文能够推测出单词的意思，也就不会查那么多单词了。所以笔者觉得原著的阅读过程应该是先慢后快的，刚开始作者交待背景和人物等，生词较多且还没有进入剧情，阅读磕磕绊绊。随着剧情的发展和有些单词的反复出现，阅读会越来越流畅，从而会有很强烈的成就感。笔者在读这本书的后半部分时速度可以达到一天读百分之十几，当然不是一天的时间全部用来读它，而是用除去上课及其他琐事的空闲时间来读的。当然我知道肯定还会有更快的大神们，比如一位豆瓣网友用三天时间就读完了，我是除了膜拜还是膜拜呐……但对于我，从刚开始读到最后读完，这真的是一个逐渐进步的过程。

关于本书的情节我就不说了，各位朋友想读的话就尽管去读吧，不用想那么多。全书最为触动我的两个人物是女主的母亲和男主的母亲，这两位母亲为子女所付出的devotion很是让人感动。至于男主和女主的感情，感觉作者刻画的太不细腻了，根本感觉不到他们很相爱好吗。可能有些地方确实比较狗血和老套，但是如果你想提高英文水平，用透析法读原著的话，用这本书作为入门书还是可以的，等你的词汇量、阅读能力有了一定提高之后可以再选择一些质量上乘的佳作阅读。

最后给各位读英文原著的朋友一个建议吧，也是我个人的感悟，那就是，不要想着读完一本原著后你就能够把里面的生词全部记住，这是不可能的。To be honest，可能连四分之一都记不住。即使可以，也要以花费巨多的时间为代价。如果你想读更多的原著，那就不要把过多的时间花在一本原著上。我的想法是，可以利用每天的碎片时间背一下透析出来的生词，然后根据记忆曲线规律多复习。假以时日，再加上英文原著阅读量的不断增加，英语水平一定会有很大进步。

Daughter of deceit 的标签里有个“第一本英文书”，看来是奶爸和伍老师的功劳哇。

我也是通过透析英语才打算读这本小说的。

书评谈不上，主要是就着透析的感悟说几句。

这本书对于透析英语，原版小说阅读来说确实是绝佳的入门书。

单词量不多。

单词不多，而且很多是重复出现的，当我逐渐适应了作者的写作风格，再一次的看到同样的单词，面熟甚至是认识，都会带来一种成就感，吸引我进一步的读下去。

全书中，我大约查了200个单词，其中并没有一直想着每页查一个之类的标准，只是遇到不是很刁钻，看着眼熟却不知具体意思，或影响意思理解的单词（比如形容表情的副词等）才会去查，并且想着不要查的太多，差不多就得。所以以一颗放松的心去看待方法这些东西吧，掌握精髓，细节部分合乎自己习惯，有利于结果就好。

情节曲折。

情节上一个悬念接另一个悬念，Victoria Holt算是英国的琼瑶，确实有小时候整天在电视机旁等着看《还珠格格》的感觉。

而且重要的是，网上对于这部小说情节的介绍甚少，让我只能自己读下去。要是我预知了小说情节，也许这次的原版阅读又像之前看简爱，廊桥遗梦那样夭折了，看来好奇未知才是最好的推动剂。

所以在这里我也不打算透露多少与情节相关的内容，只能说它讲了女主在经历丧母之痛后颠簸辗转的经历，最后是个happy ending，至于怎么就成了大团圆结局了，就请各位自己探究一二了。

篇幅适中。

就像伍老师说的，太短，还没适应作者呢就写完了，太长，压力山大。

这本小说我在kindle上看，想看了就一直看下去，看累了就干会别的，不要把它当成任务。过了一会，我又惦记起里面的主人公怎么样了，于是就又开始看。确实有适应的过程，毕竟是英文小说，一开始总是磕磕绊绊的感觉，虽然大部分单词也认识，但是好像说了啥也不是很不明白，总有要总结段落大意的冲动。开始我还弄不清desiree和女主什么关系，看到晚上party那段，说desiree多么美，还以为是魔幻小说。但是之后慢慢进了状态，阅读似乎也超越了英文翻译的层面，看到句子，也没想着翻译但是心里也明白了，阅读速度自然加快了，也更专心了，少了很多的挣扎纠结。

三天看完的这12万字，很有成就感，这次的阅读经历给我之后的原版书阅读很大的信心和鼓励。

但是毕竟是通俗言情悬疑小说，故事人物设定逃不开狗血的一面，读后深层思想感悟也不谈不上。但正因为它的作用不在于此，而是增加对英文的亲切度。心理建设是一方面，不发憷大篇幅英文了，而且阅读能力确实感觉有提高，就像原来走的是曲折的山路，坑坑洼洼，一直想着怎么走快一点，超近道，赶紧到达终点;而现在是平坦的道路，快慢自如，在阅读过程中开始注意词汇语言的精妙，想着怎么用在自己的写作和口语里，开始欣赏风景，沉醉其中了。

希望我的小小感受能给在英语原版书上同行的朋友一些参考，我们多多交流。

This is an easy-reading book . 2 points . 1. The words are not hard to recogniezed . 2.the story is really aatractive . I mean it is a normal chick-flick novel . maybe for men it is not attractive ,but for most women readers, it is good enough .

The auther is so called American qiong yao . qiong yao is good at writing a poor kind girl who fell in love with a boy whose family is rich .,or a student fell in love with a teacher .

Usually their love story was not blessed by the rich boy’s family . they tried their best to tear them apart . on the other side, the love birds barely did nothing but keep drowning in love . when they got together , they would talk about a lot of words but none of them were meaningful .

Well, back to this story . after read it ,I had some bad feelings . the moral of this story seemed to tell us :being poor is a sin , it pushes you to do bad things . on the other hand , if you are rich , your world is better, you could be a saint ,just like a white pure bunny. if that is what you want .

Even bad things will flow .

Besides ,the two who got married at last seemed had just seen each other for few times,then they fell in love . for god sake , beautiful people were so quick in love .

故事情节：

这个故事发生在伦敦。最重要的开场人物不是我们的女主人公Noelle，而是她的妈妈Desiree。所以我们从Desiree讲起吧。

Desiree是伦敦著名的女演员。她美丽而优雅，精湛的演技声名远扬。人们喜爱她，还有一个重要的原因，便是她的人格魅力。她乐观善良，对待身边的人都非常友好。(看了书你就知道，女主麻麻的脾气性格真的好到让人觉得不可思议啊！！！！)可是谁又曾想到就是因为这点，而被人利用，把所有人原有的安静的生活搅得天翻地覆......

Desiree在圣诞节生下Noelle。可是没有人知道孩子的父亲是谁。Noelle也经常问母亲，可是母亲却不太想提起，只告诉Noelle他的父亲是个好人。Desiree身边从来不缺乏爱慕者，但是来来往往的人中，只有两个人经常与Desiree来往。他们便是Charlie 和Robert（姓我就不写了，上面人物介绍有的写了。下面也只介绍人物的名字，姓一律省略）Noelle也渐渐认识了这两个蜀黍。

有一天，Desiree让Noelle送信给Charlie。刚好Charlie不在家，开门的是他的儿子Roderick。就这样Noelle认识了Roderick。

一晚，Desiree的马车在回来的路上撞到了一个姑娘。Desiree让这个姑娘在自己家里住直到她好了为止。姑娘向Desiree哭诉自己只身一人来到伦敦打拼，渴望成为一个名演员，可是屡屡碰壁。现在身无分文又无依无靠。她向Desiree表达了自己非常想登台表演的渴望，并希望Desiree能够帮助她。善良的Desiree听完这个姑娘的话后，心生怜悯之情，并决定帮助这个姑娘。这个姑娘便是Lisa，成为整个故事中无法抹去的人物。也是她改变了很多人的生活，也包括主人公Noelle和Roderick的命运。

Desiree为了在剧团给Lisa谋得一个位置，不惜逼迫甚至威胁自己多年的经纪人Dolly必须答应她的要求。Dolly不能拒绝这个全市最受欢迎的女演员的要求，即便他多么不情愿。因为像Lisa这样籍籍无名又渴望大展身手的人太多了。本来这样也学就应该结束了吧。Lisa终于得到她想要的，应该走了吧。可是Desiree却把她留在了身边。

另一边，Noelle自从上次见过Roderick之后，两人经常出来见面也十分聊得来。说情投意合一点也不过分。而且都默契的没有告诉自己的父亲或母亲。可是有一次两人在外见面被Lisa撞见，就这样Lisa认识了Roderick。Noelle其实也想告诉母亲自己对Roderick的感情，可是她最终并没有这么做。

Lisa在剧团很卖力的工作，也一直模仿Desiree的表演。Lisa经常说这世界上从来没有人像Desiree那样对她好。有一个晚上演出前，Desiree身体突然不适。Desiree不想让观众白来一场，便对Dolly说让Lisa做替补演员，代替她表演。Dolly十分不情愿，但也不得不接受这个建议。就这样Lisa终于有了第一次登台做主角的机会。表演结束后，人们对这个替补演员并没有过多关注，更多谈论的是名演员Desiree的生病缺席。这对Lisa来说着实是不小的打击。Desiree却一直鼓励Lisa说她做的很好。

医生来检查Desiree的身体，说是吃坏了东西，并无大碍。这让Noelle和仆人们终于松了口气。可是谁又曾预料到，就在第二个晚上，同样的情况又发生了。Lisa获得了第二次登台表演的机会。

Noelle可是吓坏了。Desiree却对Noelle说不用留下来照顾自己，应该去剧院给Lisa打起加油。本以为这样就结束了，可是连续第三天同样的情况又发生了。Lisa获得了第三次代替Desiree表演的机会。Noelle从剧场回来看到一辈子难以忘记的一幕。Desiree去世了。她因为生病头晕目眩，不幸摔落失足而死。

这是全书第1个重大情节：Noelle母亲去世，留下自己一人。

Noelle悲痛不已，从此世上再无依靠。可是还好，Charlie来接她到自己的家里去。他答应Desiree要照顾好Noelle。母亲也没有给Noelle留下多少财产，住的房子也不属于她。后来，Robert买下了房子，并告诉Noelle这个房子安心住。Noelle还是选择离开这所充满回忆的房子来到了位于乡村的Charlie的家，也就是Roderick的家。但是，这所房子的女主人也就是Charlie的妻子并不欢迎Noelle，甚至可以说讨厌。Noelle也明显感受到了。

来到一个新的地方，让Noelle心情暂时得到了放松。她认识了热爱考古的Finoa，还有她的奶奶。她的奶奶总是说自己能看到未来之类的。Noelle也能明显感受到Fiona和Roderick之间似乎有些什么，但也不确定。但其实Noelle也知道自己并不能在这个房子久留，Lady Constance的冷漠让Noelle觉得无奈和痛苦。Finoa的奶奶更是对她说，赶紧离开这里，不然会有危险的事情发生。这让Noelle更加坚定了离开的决心。她告诉了Charlie，自己真的不想留在这里。Charlie也知道是因为自己的妻子，因为自己和Desiree之间的情人关系。Charlie告诉Noelle要等到自己回来之后才能走。Noelle答应了。

-------------------------讲故事风格转变(๑´ㅂ`๑)勒----------------------------

有一天，Fiona家的小屋突然起了大火，她没有地方可以工作住的了。Roderick邀Fiona到自己家住。Fiona因为Lady Constance而谢绝了。Roderick向母亲说明情况，希望她能够邀请Fiona来家里住。Lady Constance 很爱Roderick，既然儿子都提出了这个要求，做母亲的也当然就满足啊。那天下着大雨，Lady Constance出门到Fiona家。

（打名字好累啊。我可以直接写女主嘛。(⊙_⊙)？）女主在家等了很久，怎么Lady Constance还不回来啊。后来实在等不下去，焦急如焚的女主决定前往去看看发生了什么。大家还记得嘛，前面讲下了很大的雨。所以路面状况很差。大家想像在那个年代的乡村还下着暴雨的路面泥泞的状况。结果走到一半，掉进了一个洞。路面塌陷还是怎么回事。（我怎么感觉讲故事的风格转变的太快了......难道是因为吃了顿饭......）你是不是猜到了什么？没错，Lady Constance也在掉进了这个漆黑的洞里而且受到了不少惊吓。女主一看，哇塞，Lady Constance你居然也在这里。两人都心安了不少。漆黑的洞里，两人都害怕啊，所以决定聊聊天来舒缓一下紧张的情绪。本来Lady Constance是属于那种不苟言笑，严肃拘谨的人，对待女主态度更是不好。原因当然是因为，自己的丈夫也就是Charlie居然把情人的女儿带到家里来。女主也懂这个道理，尤其是发现了Lady Constance收集了很多关于母亲的消息，这么多年一直忍受着Charlie在外面和Desiree 在一起。也明白理解了Lady Constance对自己的态度，所以更想着要走。在这种极端的处境下，Lady Constance变得友好了不少。甚至开始向女主吐露心声。讲自己的历史。女主也讲啊。两人就这样化敌为友了。也知道女主为了一个仆人打碎东西而顶罪。Lady Constance觉得女主也是个不错的人。

这是全书第2个重要情节：Lady Constance与Noelle女主的关系进一步发展。

后来，男主Roderick终于来救麻麻和女主了。看到两个人都并无大碍，终于放心了。看到女主平安，Roderick对女主表白了。后来直接就和女主求婚了。Lady Constance经过那件事之后，对女主的态度也好了很多。老妈搞定了，就是老爸了。老爸回来之后，听到这个消息并没有很开心。为什么呢......没错，你肯定猜到男主老爸说什么了。Charlie对女主说，对不起，我是你爸，Roderick是你哥，你是他妹。女主奔溃了。为什么相爱的人爱成了兄妹......伤心欲绝的女主想，我怎么能和自己的哥哥结婚呢，于是就离开了。

这是全书第3个重要情节：女主与男主快要结婚，却发现和Roderick是兄妹，于是离开。

女主回到伦敦的家。仆人看到女主回来很开心啊，还告诉女主Lisa简直把自己当做女主人了。女主和她麻麻一样，不是很介意这种东西，把Lisa当做好姐妹，谁住不是住呢╮(╯▽╰)╭果然是母女。为什么不能长点心眼啊~~Lisa在剧团继续担任演员，还混得不错，还邀请女主去剧院看她的表演。女主居然还去了。Lisa说她腹黑一点都不过分...

还记得一开始讲的Robert吗？他是Desiree的情人之一，很爱她。在Desiree去世后，买下了她住的房子给女主。现在是Lisa住。女主把在乡村发生的一切告诉了Robert。Robert同情女主，对女主说，要不你就跟我回法国把，去散散心也好。女主就去了法国。Robert的妻子多年前去世。家里只有自己的妹妹、侄子、和greatniece。妹夫好像是因病去世了。而妹妹的儿子，Gerard，的妻子也因意外而去世，留下了一个女儿，Marie-Christine 。Robert那一家子人都挺好，喜欢女主。女主在那边过的也还不错，学法语作为交换教英文。和Marie-Christine 这个小女孩相处的特别好。

本来一切都过的很好。但是一封来自Lisa的信改变了一切。Lisa表演生涯正不错的时候，不小心摔伤了脊柱，可能永远都无法登台表演了。男主Roderick看到Lisa这样，就娶了她。你真的没有看错......

女主看到Lisa这样的来信，伤心死了。Lisa抢走了他心爱的Roderick！可是女主又有什么办法呢，她不能和Roderick结婚啊！

全书第4个重要情节：Lisa摔伤将永远无法表演，Roderick心生怜悯十分同情Lisa，向Lisa求婚。两人成婚。

Robert的侄子Gerard对女主日久生情，想和女主在一起。可是女主因为忘不掉男主，并没有立即答应。Gerard其实也因妻子的死而自责。后来女主发现，其实Gerard的妻子想离开Gerard而设计了一切，不料因为胜利的喜悦不慎从马上摔下来。当时，Gerard在巴黎。而法国和普鲁士当时在打仗。巴黎充满了危险。甚至波及到了女主所在的乡村。还好Marie-Christine和女主没有危险。可是Gerard却永远回不来了，女主甚至都没有来得及告诉他她的回答。女主只好带着Marie-Christine小姑娘离开混战的巴黎回到了伦敦。

这是全书的第5个重要情节：女主来到法国，Gerard向女主求婚，女主犹豫没有答应。法国和普鲁士之间的战争永远的带走了Gerard。他的女儿Marie-Christine也无家可归。女主只好带着Marie-Christine回到伦敦。（似乎我记得Robert及其余的人都未能幸免于难，只剩下女主和小克里斯丁）

Christine这个小姑娘很喜欢女主。两人相处的很愉快，这让Christine暂时忘记了一切痛苦。就像当初女主失去几乎一切一样。女主失去了心爱的人，决定振作，重新打扫房子。Christine在收拾房子时，发现了女主的信件。女主看了信件，发现了一个从来没有听过的名字：Ennis。Christine鼓励女主去找这个人。女主想这个人和自己有什么关系呢。似乎这是一个很重要的人。在Christine的鼓舞下，女主决定去找这个叫Ennis的人。几番周折，终于找到Ennis。原来Ennis是女主真正的父亲。通过Ennis，女主知道了母亲不幸的童年。也知道母亲和Ennis是恋人关系。可是母亲不想让Noelle和自己一样过着不幸的童年。所以，希望当时富有的Charlie作为女主的父亲。Ennis也觉得这是最好的安排，他也对母女很不舍。Charlie相信了Desiree的话，真的以为自己是女主的父亲。女主无法相信这一切。母亲本是为自己好，才说富裕的Charlie是自己的父亲，可是命运弄人，一切都不应该是这样。

这是全书第5个重要情节：女主发现自己的亲生父亲，Charlie并不是自己父亲，Roderick也就不是她的哥哥。

女主回到伦敦的家中，也告诉了Charlie这一切。所有人都不敢相信这一切。Charlie也告诉女主，娶了Lisa之后，家里一直都笼罩在不幸福之中，没有一个人感到快乐。Lady Constance讨厌Lisa，Roderick并不爱Lisa。可是女主也没有办法。Roderick想和Lisa离婚，想和女主在一起。可是女主无奈且尴尬无比。这时，Lisa的又一封信让女主前往家中。而且一定要去。女主很困惑，到底有什么事能说的呢？不是应该尽量避免自己出现在她家才对吗？

Lisa要告诉女主的就是：自己永远也不会离开Roderick。她终于住上了梦寐以求的房子，和Roderick在一起。并且告诉了一个惊人的事实。我想你已经猜到了。当年自己为了想登台表演，而向恩人Desiree下毒。连续三次！她狡辩说自己只是想获得一个机会。可是她下了三次啊！她完全没有预料夫人会不幸摔倒而死。Lisa辩解，为什么她生来什么也没有，而女主Noelle却拥有一切。还有Roderick的爱。所以她不会放弃离开。坚决不会。

全书第6个重要情节：Lisa承认自己当年对恩人Desiree3次下毒，不幸导致desiree的死亡，并表示永远不会离开Roderick。

医生说Lisa身体有好转的迹象。也就表明，Lisa更不会离开Roderick。这场僵局谁能够来结束呢？就在一切都似乎无法前行时，却传出了Lisa去世的消息。尸检结果出来，Lisa是服用了过量的止痛药而死。法庭上，所有人收到审问。唯独没有提到女主。

有一个女仆提出的证词，差点扭转整个案件。可是另一个仆人却让女仆的证词变得不可靠。Lady Constance的证词说，Lisa经常会不记得自己服用过多少药。使得案件最终宣告为意外死亡。

全书第7个重要情节：Lisa意外去世。

感受：

女主也未必太善良了。故事是挺曲折的。所以这也是我给它评价高的原因。之前也对这本书没什么期待。但是鉴于故事写的还是不错，还是觉得这本书作为普通读物还是可以推荐的。就是对于女主和男主的性格塑造似乎单一了点。Lisa的性格，到很明显也很多样。一方面感激恩人，一方面又为了一己私欲加害于恩人。

不会写书评呀，难过。而且看完就忙着想看下一本，总想逃避总结这事。已经把Flipped也看完了，Charlotte's Web马上也要看完了，拖到现在才来写这本的笔记，我也是服了我自己。。。

不知道大家直接把单词单独复制记录下来的记忆效果怎么样，我感觉这样不太好记忆吧。我都是把那个单词所在的整个句子复制下来，存在便签里，然后再单独把单词抽离出来记。记得比较模糊时就去看原句，看原句能联想到情节，可以加深记忆。

我平时都是按下面的这种形式，记下看的日期、章节、标题，把原句复制下来，再把单词抽出来放到顶部，回忆时尽量只看单词，不行再往下看原句。

PS：锤子手机的取词功能加一步拖拽功能，简直就是为学英语量身打造的。在Kindle APP中边看边复制要透析的单词和句子（不用打断阅读去处理）——看完后统一到一步拖拽中的剪贴板将其全部拖拽至便签中——最后对文本进行处理，要查词就调出划词翻译指针，完美。
