虽然自己已经拥有一套房子，但是我慢慢感觉我拥有的远远不够。房子朝北，我晒不到阳光，冬天很冷。房间感觉还是太小，要是有了孩子怎么办，没有入户花园，只有一个阳台……房子朝南，衣帽间，大卧房……这些都是我没有拥有的。虽然房价已经是当年的一倍，但是我毅然决定，换房！虽然我要背负沉重的房贷，但是这些是我没有拥有的，就是我行动的动力。
你不要想着你没有拥有什么，而要想着你拥有什么。换房后，感觉自己又有了一个崭新的开始，有了一种新的生活，新的心情。我已经实现了自己第一个阶段的梦想，达成了自己人生中的一个目标。

经常想想自己拥有什么，这就是知足；而常常想想自己没有什么，这又是不知足，不满足，不知足不满足就会去进取、追求。人生就是行走于这两面之间的，一方面要知足，另外一方面又要不满足。何以言之？

不去攀比，去除欲望，在生活方面，在名利方面，淡定从容，清心寡欲，你才会感到天高云淡，莺歌燕舞、鸟语花香。知足，而且只有知足才能给你带来快乐、幸福。我们常常会看到这样一种现象：穷人往往快乐，富人却常常痛苦。为何？就是因为穷人容易知足，而富人很难知足。
再说说不满足或进取吧。人，毕竟是高等动物，除了吃穿住行这些物质方面的东西外，毕竟还有更高层次的追求：事业、理想，人格修养、精神境界等等。在这些方面，要永远地不满足，要永远地追求、进取。
