在初二英语学习中，我发现自己的强项是阅读和写作，能够流畅地表达自己的想法。但是我的弱项是口语和听力，需要加强练习来提高。通过不断的努力和练习，我相信我可以在所有方面取得进步。

妈妈的弱项
在旁人看来，妈妈是个柔弱的女子，像个林黛玉。可是在我眼里，妈妈是个女汉子，天不怕，地不怕，厉害着呢。家里的电灯泡坏了，妈妈二话不说搬来凳子，麻利地把灯泡换了;吃的米没有了，妈妈立刻从小店里背回一袋米;煤气用完了，妈妈扛起煤气瓶就往外走……在我心里，妈妈是我的英雄，是我的天，是我们家的校长。
可是没想到，坚强伟岸的妈妈也有害怕的东西，那就是的令人讨厌的蟑螂。没当想起这件事，我都会忍俊不住要笑出来。那天我正好在楼上写作业，妈妈在楼下的厨房里忙碌着。突然，听到妈妈一声恐怖的尖叫：“啊!有蟑螂!”
“小强?”我激凌了一下，边疾步奔下楼边说道：“妈妈，家里怎么会有——小强?”孰料，我推开厨房门时，楞住了：妈妈脸色煞白，惶惶不安地站在桌旁，抖索着指着案板结结巴巴地说：“那儿，案板上!”我顺着妈妈的手指望去，那小强正在案板上毫无顾忌地肆意吞吃呢。天哪!我的晚餐!我撕下一张保鲜膜，以迅雷不及掩耳之势冲向小强，一把抓住了它。
我翻过手来，小强还在我手掌里拚命挣扎。我得意地把手伸到妈妈面前，得意地说：“妈妈你看，抓住它了!”妈妈急忙躲开，扭转头，急急地道：“啊!不要看!不要看!快拿开，恶心死了!”我笑嘻嘻地明知故问：“哪里恶心?你看它不是被我抓住了吗?!”妈妈瞪着眼珠子对我怒吼道：“快拿出去扔掉，马上用肥皂把手洗干净!”
晚上，我把嘴巴贴到弟弟耳朵旁，悄悄说：“可乐，姐姐告诉你一个秘密!”
“什么秘密?”弟弟不解地看着我。
“妈妈天不怕地不怕，就怕小强也!”我作着鬼脸说。
“啊?姐姐骗我，姐姐骗我!”弟弟用小手捶打着我的头。“姐姐那里会骗弟弟?!”我把情景很生动地向弟弟描述了一番，我们俩个不约而同发出会心的笑声。
其实，每个人都有软弱的地方，我妈妈最大的弱项就是怕小强，你可不要告诉我妈妈啊!
知识就是力量
知识就是力量的源泉，知识就是智慧的化身，知识就是通往成功之路的金钥匙。
十二月十九日，在去学校考试的路上，我对妈妈说：“如果我考一个满分，你就得给我买二十五本书，再带我去哈尔滨看冰灯”。妈妈说：“同意”。我就高高兴兴的到学校考试去了。
十二月二十六日，我去学校取成绩，回到家妈妈就问我，考得怎么样?我说：“您自己看看就知道了。”妈妈看完我的卷子后，严厉地对我说：“不行，没达到要求，还差0。5分”
可是我不甘心，就想办法说服妈妈。于是我就对妈妈说：“读书能让我变得更聪明;读书能让我变得更有智慧;读书能让我变得更有学问;读书能让我变得更有知识;读书能让我的学习成绩进步;读书能让我长大以后变成有才能的人。”
我还知道好多知识呢!地球是一个行星;火星上没有运河;水星上没有水;公鸡是法国的国鸟;空气的流动形成了风;萤火虫的发光器在尾部;生物体的基本单位是细胞;大象和老鼠的细胞几乎差不多;千古一帝是秦始皇;楚汉双雄是项羽和刘邦;中国的四大发明是造纸术、活字印刷、火药、指南针，我还知道……
妈妈你看我说了这么多读书的好处，其实这些也是我从读过的书本里学来的，妈妈您现在是不是应该给我买书了呢?
紧接着，我又对妈妈说：“您也应该带我去哈尔滨看冰灯吧!”去哈尔滨玩就是去旅游，在旅游的过程中我能把看到的、听到的写成日记，提高写作水平;在旅游的过程中能让我增长见识;在旅游的过程中能让我大开眼界;在旅游的过程中能让我积累更多的写作素材，这样我就能提高语文写作水平。正所谓“读万卷书，行万里路吗!”
请妈妈您不要扼杀了我的读书的天分，书是阳光雨露，让我在知识的海洋中茁壮成长。妈妈再说了，你想一想，你给我买书总比给我买小食品强啊!最后，我用一大套机关枪式的大道理把妈妈说服了。

临近中午，我从奥校回来，就帮妈妈做家务，首先打扫卫生，发现餐厅地面上没打扫完，于是我赶紧拿扫帚扫，地扫干净后，我开始想着怎样才能让地面更干净。在老爸的指导下，我将全自动洗衣机打开，把四条不用的化纤毛巾丢了进去开低档水洗一洗，然后把水舀进一个冲马桶的水桶里，将毛巾甩干，趁着毛巾还发潮的时间，将毛巾分成两个部分，两条管上面，两条管下面，拿起一条我开始抹上面家具面子上的尘，当它浑身沾满了灰尘后，我再用另一条。家具上面的尘抹完后，我拿起另一条毛巾展开放在脚下开始擦地，逐一把犯一点潮的毛巾用完，看着它们的身上都滚满了灰尘，而家具，地面变得逞亮时，我的心里也乐开了花。这时，我已经非常累了，满头是汗。妈妈见到我这个样子，十分心疼，就连忙给我递过来一条毛巾，说：“孩子，你那么辛苦，还是别干了。”我听了妈妈的话，真想不干了。但是，我脑海里马上出现妈妈满头大汗做家务的样子。心想：妈妈为了我每天都那么辛苦，我这点儿辛苦又算得了什么！想到这里，我说：“妈妈，我不累。”说着我又继续干起来，直到把地板拖干净。经过我的努力，房子真是变得一干二净了。
这时妈妈做好了香喷喷的饭菜，我一看是我最爱吃的西红柿鸡蛋面还外带煎黄花鱼和辣椒炒山坑鱼及鱼头豆腐汤，我帮妈妈把菜端上桌，我们一家人高兴的吃了起来。
吃完饭，妈妈在厨房收碗筷,我说:"妈妈,我帮你洗吧。"妈妈看了一下,点点头说:"好吧。"但是妈妈还是不放心,站在旁边指导："先放点水,再放点洗洁精,一个个刷一边,刷过后再用清水冲一边,这样就洗好了。"我按妈妈教的方法一个一个洗。洗好后我看着这些干净的碗筷,心里美滋滋的.妈妈摸着我的头说:"儿子,你长大了,会帮妈妈做家务了。"看到妈妈笑了,我也开心地笑了。
虽然我已经筋疲力尽了，但能为妈妈做家务，我心里还是甜滋滋的。
学会感恩，爸爸妈妈的恩情比海深。我要作一个好儿子。
